What you will learn at C1
At C1, learners move beyond independent language use and develop the ability to communicate effectively in demanding academic, professional, and social environments.
The course focuses on refining language accuracy, expanding vocabulary range, strengthening argumentation skills, and developing the confidence to understand and express complex ideas. Learners learn to interpret implicit meaning, adapt language to different contexts, and engage with authentic Greek materials at an advanced level.
According to CEFR & CGL, by the end of C1 students can:
- understand long, complex texts and follow detailed arguments
- express themselves fluently and spontaneously
- use Greek accurately and appropriately in demanding situations
- produce well-structured, detailed texts on complex subjects
- understand implicit meaning, tone, and nuance
Language skills
The course develops all four language skills through authentic materials, task-based activities, and advanced communicative practice, helping learners use Greek confidently in real-life situations.

- Full consolidation of all previous grammar
- Advanced verb aspect (subtle distinctions in meaning)
- Advanced passive voice (all forms and nuances)
- Complex subordinate clauses (hypothetical, concessive, temporal, causal)
- Advanced connectors (εξάλλου, επιπλέον, συνεπώς, μολονότι, αφενός… αφετέρου)
- Reported speech in its full range
- Nominalization and abstract language structures
