A comprehensive upper-intermediate course aligned with CEFR B2 and the proficiency descriptors of the Centre for the Greek Language (ΚΕΓ).

What you will learn at B2

At B2, learners move beyond everyday communication and develop the ability to use Greek confidently, independently, and effectively in a wide range of personal, social, academic, and professional situations.

The course focuses on strengthening fluency, expanding vocabulary, improving accuracy, and helping students express opinions, arguments, and abstract ideas with confidence. Learners become more comfortable interacting with native speakers and engaging with authentic Greek-language content.

According to CEFR & CGL, by the end of B2 learners can:

  • understand extended speech and follow complex arguments
  • interact with native speakers with fluency and spontaneity
  • produce clear, detailed texts on a variety of subjects
  • express and justify opinions, arguments, and viewpoints
  • understand the main ideas of complex texts, including abstract topics.

Language skills

The course develops all four language skills through authentic materials, communicative tasks, and real-world scenarios, enabling learners to participate confidently in conversations, discussions, and professional interactions.

Listening

Learners can understand:

  • Subjunctive and modal structures in greater depth
  • Passive voice (all common forms)
  • Complex sentence structures

  • Advanced verb aspects (continuous and simple forms)
